One Bad Egg, LLC comes from the hatcheries of Rob Donoghue, Chris Hanrahan, Fred Hicks, and Justin D. Jacobson.

Rob Donoghue is one of the founders of Evil Hat Productions and co-author of Fate and Spirit of the Century, and has recently turned in his first freelance writing project for Wizards of the Coast. He thinks far too much about gaming, and is glad that people sometimes pay him to write about it, because otherwise he’d probably just be doing it for free.

Chris Hanrahan is one of the Co-Owners of EndGame in Oakland, California. Chris really manages to get around. Along with owning EndGame, he is also a co-owner of Indie Press Revolution, a Marketing Consultant for a few game companies, and a long time Gaming Podcaster. He is the co-host of 2d6 Feet in a Random Direction, and occasional guest on many other podcasts throwing some Industry Insight in where he can. Chris is excited about One Bad Egg, because now officially he works within each tier of the gaming industry… what that means, well… we will see.

Fred Hicks is one of the minds behind Evil Hat Productions, a small-press publisher of roleplaying games, is the author of Don’t Rest Your Head, and is a co-author of Spirit of the Century. He also works part-time as the customer service desk for Indie Press Revolution and as a freelance layout consultant. Fred is not at all certain how it is he lucked into doing all this as his job, but he’s certain he has his lovely wife to thank for it.

By day, Justin D. Jacobson is a mild-mannered attorney. At night, he dons his Bluedevil garb and designs award-winning role-playing and strategy games, including the critically acclaimed Poisoncraft: The Dark Art and the Dawning Star sci-fi setting. In addition to his work with the Egg, he is currently developing Tokyo Rain, a role-playing game based on the bestselling John Rain novels by Barry Eisler.

Thanks, guys. It’s good to see folks doing this. It’s good to see that one doesn’t have to be WOTC to make good (for whatever definition of good) in the gaming industry.

  2. Jarrod, October 21, 2008:

I’m excited. It’s like the Power Rangers of Indie Gaming.

I’ve purchased and GREATLY enjoyed all of the inexpensive yet well-crafted Shroud PDFs. Many smaller 3rd party companies produce….lackluster….products. Not true in your case!

The Bad Egg material is–so far–fun and exciting, and without breaking my bank! Thank you!
